Clean V Power Mine Project

Two off-grid northern Canadian mines already use renewable green energy. Favourable wind speeds and moderate solar, can be coupled with efficient and scalable VRB batteries that are best suited for renewable energy storage. The possibility of wind-and solar generated electricity is worth further assessment.

The Rio Tinto NYSE:RIO/Dominion Diamond TSX:DDC Diavik diamond mine in the Northwest Territories generates all its electricity from two diesel plants and a four-turbine wind farm operating since 2012. Since 2014, Tugliq Energy owns and operates a wind turbine that augments diesel power at Glencore’s Raglan nickel mine in northern Quebec.
